Itinerary

Begin your Aomori shore excursion by meeting your private guide and driver who will take you to Mount Hakkoda, a scenic destination known for its snow-covered landscapes, ideal for skiing, hiking, and enjoying traditional Japanese hot springs. The area is easily accessible by the Hakkoda Ropeway, offering fresh air and stunning natural views.

Continue to Oirase Stream, where nature shines through the changing seasons. In spring and summer, the trail is lined with vibrant greenery, while autumn transforms the area into a canvas of red, orange, and yellow. Enjoy the picturesque beauty of cascading waterfalls and charming bridges along the stream.

After a lunch break, embark on a cruise across Lake Towada to get close-up views of the surrounding peninsulas. Alternatively, explore the quiet town of Yasumiya, home to Towada Shrine, a small nature museum, and a statue honoring local women who contributed to the region’s national park status. Scenic viewpoints around the lake offer panoramic photo opportunities.

Wrap up the day with a visit to the Aomori Prefecture Tourist Center ASPAM, a city landmark where you can sample local food, shop for regional handicrafts, and admire views of Mutsu Bay from the 13th floor. The center also features photo exhibits and videos that bring the vibrant Nebuta Festival to life. Your driver will then return you to the port.
