This tour involves walking on uneven ground, especially around the rubber plantation, memorial site, and inside the Long Phuoc Tunnels. While most of the sites can be viewed from nearby paved areas, the tunnels and parts of Nui Dat base require a bit of walking and navigating dirt paths. Guests with limited mobility may still enjoy the tour but should consult with our team in advance to adjust the experience and avoid physically demanding sections.
The Long Tan battlefield is located approximately 40–50 kilometers from Phu My Port. The drive usually takes around 1 hour depending on traffic conditions. The route passes through rural and semi-urban areas of Ba Ria–Vung Tau Province, offering scenic views of Vietnam’s countryside along the way.
The Long Phuoc Tunnels are relatively well-preserved and more spacious than the famous Cu Chi Tunnels near Ho Chi Minh City. However, some sections are still narrow, low-ceilinged, and dimly lit. Visitors are not required to enter the tunnels unless they feel comfortable. There are surface-level exhibits and explanations available for those who prefer not to go underground.
Yes, photography is generally allowed at all sites visited on this tour. However, at the Long Tan Cross Memorial, guests are kindly asked to be discreet and respectful when taking photos, especially if veterans or other tour groups are present. This is a solemn site of remembrance for many Australians and Vietnamese alike.
Lunch is not included in the base price but can be arranged upon request. During the return leg of the tour, we will stop in Ba Ria town, where your guide can recommend a local Vietnamese restaurant offering traditional dishes. If you have dietary restrictions or preferences, please let us know in advance so we can find a suitable option.
