Hirosaki Castle Park in Aomori shore excursionsThis three-story castle involves a number of original turrets and impressive wooden gates. Come here in winter, don’t miss the chance to participate in the annual Snow Lantern Festival. Situates not far from Hirosaki Park is Zenrin-gai which is home to 33 Zen temples and shrines scattered both sides of the path. A large graveyard, surrounded by so many trees, can also be found here.
Zenrin-gai Aomori shore excursionsThen head to Sannai Maruyama Historical Site, known as one of Japan’s largest historical sites, consists of remains of the human settlement from the Early to the Middle Jomon period. Thanks to its special meaning in the region' history, the site was designated as a National Special Historic Site of Japan.
Sannai Maruyama Historical SiteYour trip cannot be completed without visiting Warasse, Nebuta House - a unique museum devoted to the city’s famous Nebuta Matsuri summer festival held annually in early August. Visitors might be overwhelmed by the museum’s red theme decoration with impressive lines of photos of Nebuta Matsuri’s 300-year history. Hanging along the corridor are lanterns made in the shape of the festival’s symbol - red goldfish. All contribute to a lively festival appearing in front of your eyes. The trip ends with return transport to the port.
